Support » Fixing WordPress » All posts and pages gives "404 Error File Not Found"?

  • Resolved ryanandrewsimmons

    Hi all,

So here is the blog I am just starting:

The main page works fine. However, all of the posts and pages I have put on the blog don’t work. They appear on the main page, but if you click on them it just gives you a “404 Error: File Not Found. The page you are looking for might have been removed,
had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.”

I have checked and double-checked the URLs, all our spelled correctly.

Does anyone have any idea why this is not working, and how I fix it?

Even if I just add a post through the WordPress Dashboard, the urls that are created won’t work.

You might want to clear your cache. It’s working fine for me over here.

I literally just fixed it a minute ago and was coming over here to update this post, heh.

I am not sure why, but all I needed to do was go into “Permalinks” and click “Save Changes” (even though I hadn’t changed anything). That fixed it, somehow.

Same thing happened for me. Tried ryanandrewsimmons fix and it worked!
