p.s. no change in incognito mode, and then header doesn’t show up when I edit using Elementor either.
But if I change page layout to Default, the header shows up just fine.
But I need a full width page, so that’s no good.

Hi there,
Thanks for contacting us and hope you are doing well and having a great day.
To rule out the possibility of a plugin or theme conflict, please deactivate all your plugins (besides Elementor and Elementor Pro). If it solves the issue reactivate them one by one to find the culprit. If it didn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) to a default WP theme such as Twenty Nineteen and see if it makes any difference.
Also, this could happen due to our Elementor performance experiments you can try to deactivate them. To deactivate them you can go to Elementor > settings > features
Performance features currently in the experimental stage are:
- Improved CSS Loading – An experiment that only loads the CSS of widgets on a page once, in order to prevent multiple requests to the server. With this experiment, CSS files are loaded as inline style tags.
- Inline Font Icons – This experiment renders icons as SVGs without loading the Font-Awesome and eicons libraries. Since SVGs are vector-based images which are rendered using the browser’s engine, they do not increase server requests which improves performance
I am looking forward to hearing back from you soon.
Kind regards,
Thanks, many good ideas there!
I’ve tried it on 3 different browsers, with different plugins, including Edge with no plugins. No change.
I deactivated all those features, and the website was totally broken! e.g. a title heading and not much else.
And it turns out I was already using 2024 as a theme. So I tried Elementor Hello, without any joy.
Any more ideas? I’m hoping something you can come up with will do the trick!
I also played with global site settings -> header, which made absolutely no difference whether I enabled or disabled logo, tagline or menu. That’s not right! It should make SOME difference.
I am having the same issue after updating elementor on my website.
I’ve found a clue! I display the Home page, and mouse over the Edit with Elementor menu item.
It does NOT show Header web! So I can’t edit any header at the top of that post.
So WHY doesn’t it show that? What’s the setting, and where is it?
Surely with this clue we can narrow things down.
And why are there so many places to edit headers?
This is really confusing 🙁
If you visit here, you can see this site:
https://www.aknowingwithin.com/contact/
You can see the menu there, but if you click on the logo on the left, you can go to the home page.
From there, you’ll see there’s no menu. Not much use, is it?!
But you need to edit the Windows host file by adding the following line:
116.90.41.25 aknowingwithin.com http://www.aknowingwithin.com
Otherwise the site won’t load.
Might be time to give up Elementor. Shame.
After I updated the plugin and the pro plugin my issues were resolved.
Hope this helps someone.
