• Hi, as the title says really – installed fine, changed header/background, installed cincopa – created 91 pages – everything fine. Editing pages for days and still fine – went to carry on editing the following day and no pages are showing even though in admin they are all classed as ‘published’
    Have not touched permalinks or changed anything, at a loss! – Any ideas?
    (v3.2.1)
    Thanks

  • By default WordPress in configured to act as an Blog-engine .
    The front page displays posts in reverse chronological order (last post on top ) .
    Pages can be accessed through the navigation bar .
    It’s also posible to display a static page on front-page (Dashboard->Settings->Reading-> configure “Front page displays” .

    What I mean is categories, and the pages in them – the bar below the header – used to read Home about news etc, nothing there now.

    There is no way to add “pages” to “categories” in WordPress. Categories are used for “posts”, not for “pages”.

    Without seeing your theme, I’m not sure how to help any further. Most themes will have methods to add your “pages” to the navigation menus, and will also have methods to add your “categories” to the navigation menus (or to widgets), but having the “categories” display in your menus will not magically start adding links to your “pages”.

    This is the site http://sub.net23.net/

    Used to have ‘Home’ and ABCDEFG-Z running across the top next to Home. i’m using the wrong terms here (very new) – The pages were connected to each letter/link?
    , if you see what I mean.

    Should look similar to this –

    It’s simple , just create a custom menu .
    Go to Dashboard->Appearance->Menus .
    Read this article , if you need help , let us know …

    Oops, yeah – embarrassed by my own stupidity; the theme supports one custom menu, I created a 2nd (blank) menu and had that as the menu to show – I’m a blibking idiot!
    Thanks for putting up with me.
