ALL pages & posts but Homepage go to 404!

    After installing the “updated” WordPress version, ALL of my pages & posts are GONE. What on EARTH do I do now?? I can’t find another forum post that gives a solution to this…I wish I never updated.

    Can you try resetting the permalinks? Go to settings > permalinks

    Are the posts and pages still in the admin? If so, then the content is still in the database, so you should be able to recover your site.

    OK, my home page is viewable, & a few of my pages are, but most are 404 pages.

    I’m not sure what you mean by resetting the permalinks. Under Settings in the Dashboard, under Permalinks, I only see options for choosing how you want the link address to appear, i.e. include a title, date, etc. Nothing there about resetting permalinks, am I not looking in the right place. 🙁

    Plus I can pull up all my pages/posts to edit them, save them, etc, it’s just that when I go to view the page/post itself, it gives an error 404 page. I don’t see anything different in the permalink addresses of those that work from those that are redirecting to the error page…
