I have 6 websites under my google analytics account – all of which are several years old/had several years worth of analytics data until a few minutes ago. I tried to authenticate/connect Analytify to my google account on a client site, but I kept getting Database Connection Error. I realized your whole website had gone down.

But a few minutes later it was back up again and I was able to re-authenticate.

However – now, I have zero historical google analytics data for any of my sites (short of data that’s occurred in the last few minutes). I don’t just mean in Analytify, I mean on the Google Analytics website itself. My sites are all still there. Nothing shows up under their Change Histories. But they all show no activity before a few minutes ago.

I can’t comprehend how authenticating with Analytify would cause that, but the timing was so specific that it disappeared immediately after authenticating with Analytify.

I’m at a complete loss, I can’t find any options for restoring data in GA. Please help!

correction: 1 of my sites still has analytics data, but the other 5 do not. which is maybe even weirder.

    Hi,

The data on your Google Analytics account is there permanently unless you delete the account. No third party app has the permission provided by Google to delete analytics data.

The authentication process just makes Analytify get data from your Google Analytics account and display it.

I advise you to contact Google support and let them know of the issue as only they have the access to your Analytics data.
