All my posts and pages are missing…

    I’m pretty stressed out. ALL of my pages, posts and media are gone. Just gone. All was well when I checked it last night, but when I logged on today…everything I mentioned above is 0. The comments are all still intact, which is weird.

    My husband hosts our blog on our server and apparently he did reset the server today, but that has never impacted anything on the blog before…

    I googled this problem, but only came up with information regarding older WP versions.

    Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.

    I also decided to add a post to the blog saying something to the effect of “sorry everything seems to be missing at the moment” and when I tried to publish the post I got an error message saying “are you sure you want to do that?” and an option to “try again” which simply took me back to a blank post page.

    Have you checked from the dashboard if these posts and pages are still there?

    Dashboard >> Posts >> All Posts
    Dashboard >> Pages >> All Pages

    This should give you the clue as to what has happened.

    This exact issue is happening to me as well, including the inability to add new posts or pages. Did you ever get your problem fixed?

    I assume they haven’t been deleted, but the link to the database could have a problem. Pages and Posts are stored the same way in the database so it would make sense.

    Thanks John. After repeated calls to the hosting provided, everything is now “back up”… I have requested that they give a more in-depth explanation as to why this happened, and how I can fix it if it happens again in the future.
