Support » Fixing WordPress » All my photographes have dissappeared – but have they?

  • I have just loaded over a tortuous 12 hours my site. Lots of problems were evenntually solved – I am totally new to WP but have used DW, FP.

    http://www.ferndownstrollerscc.com

All my photographs have dissapeared whilst viewing the site (with local host Xampp off), others of course see this too.

The Gallery library does not display them but does all the text details of each photo, but they are there on the server because if I press edit they appear for editing. The URL routing is correctly allocated on every photo in the Media library.

The bizzaire thing is that if I turn my Xampp local host on, they appear and when you click on to them to expand the view the URL is shown as my local host folder and file name, YET no where in the media library or gallery is this shown, as I said above they show the correct server URL.

Could some of you guys who have a a lot of experince help. As it’s WP I do need a real idiots guide and assume nothing!

    Many thanks in advance

All of your image urls are still pointing to localhost. What urls are entered in settings->General? Have these been changed since you installed WordPress?

Hi Esmi, yes they are but only when online when they are displaying. The general tab shows the correct URL and not the local host.
