    Hi!

We are using the plugin “ThinkUpThemes PageBuilder”.

After upgrading to the latest version of “All In One WP Security” plugin v4.4.12, it is conflict with the Page Builder from Thinkup Themes v2.10.5

    Description of the problem
After upgrading, the “Categories” metabox is not available when creating “pages”.
Categories is also not available in the Admin Menu / pages section. It is completly removed from the Screen Options also.

If I deactivate the “All In One WP Security plugin”, the Categories metabox is available when creaing pages.

Why is “All In One WP Security” removing the access to the Categories metabox?

See picture of the issue here:

    Please help!

Thanks for a such great security plugin!

@horgster It looks like you are using any special characters in a category name and have enabled the firewall in the AIOWPS plugin. Can you please try it after disabling the firewall in the AIOWPS plugin settings and then see what happens?

    @pmbaldha

    Thanks for your message.

Firewall is not enabled in AIOWPS.

Be aware that the “Categories” is available for “Posts”, but not for “Pages”.
This can’t be related to “Special Characters” since this problem only occur in the “Admin Page” and not for the public users.

Post and Pages, shares the same “Category Taxonomy” which contains only one category with the norwegian letter Å (hence you might call it as special character).

But, the Category Taxonomy is available for “Post” types and not for Pages, Portifolio, Testimonials and other pages types like this.

It looks like, if AIOWPS blocks reuse of the same Category Taxonomy ?

@horgster Can you please reconfirm the issue issue because the AIOWPS plugin has no code related to the taxonmy. If the issue persists, Please share the ThinkUpThemes PageBuilder
zip file via dropbox or Google Drive? so, We can try to trplicate the issue here.

    Hi @pmbaldha

Yes the issue is related to AIOWPS plugin. If I deactivate the AIOWPS plugin, the Category taxonmy is available again as pr screenshot I sent.

You will find the ThinkUpThemes PageBuilder here
    Google Drive

    Thanks for helping out!

Hi @horgster, I have activated the ThemesUp page builder in a new WP site, create a page and getting the error as indicated in the screenshot https://nimb.ws/Ix471s.

Even I am not able to see Admin Dashboard > Pages > Categories submenu.

    Hi @pmbaldha

Just to make sure that the File i sent is not corrupted, I have redownloaded the “Page Builder” from ThinkupThemes.

I have also added one of the Themes that is compliant with the Page Builder, “Grow.1.4.2.zip”

You will find all the files in the Gooogle drive share

    Hope that helps.

    Hi @horgster

Could you please provide the list of plugins installed on your website? Category and tag options for pages do not seem to be a default feature of the ThinkUp plugin or Grow theme.

    Hi @sagzzz

I appreciate your kind support in this matter 🙂
I had hoped that you would be able to re-pro this with the “Grow theme”.

It could be that you will need to install the “Grow Pro” edition that cost money and requires activation with API keys.

I have added “GroPro_1.6.0.zip” to our share. Perhaps it is included there.

When you installed the “Grow theme” (Free edition) did you get following submenus in the admin portal?

    – Pages
    – comments
    – Clients
    – Portifolio
    – Teams
    – Testimonials
    – Contact

If not, I guess they will be included in the Grow Pro. Questions is whether this will available until the API Key is activated or not?

I have many plugins, but they are not related to this issue specific as I have tested to disable all of them.

Perhaps it would be easier to perform an Teams / Zoom meeting?
