  • Hello. I’m in the plugin All In One WP Security & Firewall has turned on maintenance mode to set up the site. And I forgot about this and left the admin area. Now I can not go to the admin panel, because I write that the site is temporarily unavailable. That is, he himself has put and now I can not go. How to be, how to enter the admin area and get on your site?

Now I can not go to the admin panel

You will be able get to the login page if you use the proper URL, ie,

    yoursite.com/wp-login.php

OR, if you’ve renamed your login page:
    yoursite.com/<secretslug>

DON’T use yoursite/wp-admin to try and get to the login page because that is not correct and that feature will not let you.

Ahhh. I had the same problem.
I had to go into cPanel -> File manager to rename the plugin folder. I did a search on this forum and noticed this thread. It would be good with an option below the maintenance mode asking if I also want to block anyone from going to sitename.com/wp-admin. As it caused some confusion for me and my client. Then I would atleast have the option of blocking wp-admin for non logged in users if needed.
    Thanks.
