All in one seo question

I was wondering how I can get the home title, and meta description to show up in search results. I have the home title showing up, but instead of the meta title showing up in the search results I have the text on the home page showing up instead. I’m not sure what happened, it the meta description used to show up but no longer does. In the general settings I erased the home title and description and in pages where you put in the SEO title, description, etc I left it blank for the home page. The only place I have it is the main section of the plugin where you pick all your settings. Am I doing something wrong?? I’m not sure why my meta description isn’t showing in search results anymore but I know it’s gonna start hurting my SEO if I can’t get it fixed. Is there a way I can check my homepage to make sure there isn’t maybe some other meta stuff conflicting with the all in one seo? My other pages seem to be showing up fine in search results it’s just my homepage.
