  • Hello. I’m trying to install the All-in-one event calendar plugin on a new server which only has 3 other plugins on it. Everytime I try to install it I get this: The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.

I tried removing the other plugins and installing it first, trying to activate it and it would give me this: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /home/hampsh12/public_html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/app/model/class-ai1ec-event.php on line 458.

I talked to my hosting company and they told me to try upping the memory by creating a php.ini file with memory_limit = 64M and put the php.ini in the folders I wanted it to take effect or to make it recrusive by putting this SetEnv PHPRC /home/username/public_html/php.ini on the htaccess.

Neither of those worked. I even tried upping it to 256M and not luck. So my hosting company gave me this log:[Tue Jan 31 12:06:36 2012] [debug] util_ldap.c(1990): LDAP merging Shared Cache conf: shm=0x14e4bfc0 rmm=0x14e4c018 for VHOST:

I really like this plugin and have used it on other sites under my company. Someone help me out, please?

  • I would really like to know what to do to fix this issue. I have never gotten the Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) before. The server has adequate space for the plugin, it’s not that full yet. Just started to build the site. Please help!

Try increasing the memory available to PHP. This is not the same as storage space.

This may help the troubleshooting by the developer:

I can’t create an all day repeating event…

I’m using the latest wordpress with fresh install and the latest of the plugin. Been putting in all day events that repeat each week with no troubles until I do it for Monday which happens to be the start of the week. If I make Sunday the start of the week I still can’t add any kind of all day event on Monday for some reason …

IF i turn off all day event box and select the hours from 12 a.m. to 11:45 p.m (all day), it will error out as well to a 404 file not found. If I select 12:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. (just shy of the full day) it works …

Oh yeah, since I up’d the memory i no longer get the memory error, just the 404 file not found …
