• Hello,

I recently visited my site communicationcouncil.com to find all of its content replaced by a page from an Italian hosting company called noamweb.com. When I talked to my hosting company about this, Lypha, they informed me that our domain name was still pointing to their servers, but that the only html and php files found in the document root were for this noamweb page. They then took the liberty to replace this mystery page with something that says “under construction.” Can someone help me restore my site? Any ideas where my files might be or how I could retrieve them? Is everything just gone and I am out of luck / need to start from scratch / got hacked?

    Thanks in advance

  • Is your database still intact?

So I’ve since been able to restore the database, reupload wordpress, and login to the admin panel of wordpress. I have my theme reinstalled, all my content is still there, but nothing is registering on the actual page. It still just says “website under construction.” Does anyone know what’s up with this now? Or how I can get my files/content to overside this under construction page that my hosting company placed into the site?

    Thanks,
    Caleb

Try removing or renaming the index.html file in your site’s root folder.
