• As others have stated, the plugin is great other than not being able to show the name of the user who did the modification, it’s always UNKNOWN. The only way to make it known is to do a quick edit, those changes then reflect a user for the modification. If you edit the page normally, UNKNOWN. But this means if you edit the page normally after a quick edit, the wrong user is shown. Seems the plugin is looking at only one of two places this information must be stored.

    Hi @ebonweaver,

Sorry to hear that you don’t get the correct author of a modification.

As we explained before, the plugin gets the information from the WordPress function get_the_modified_author() (more info here: get_the_modified_author()). If this function returns an empty value, we show UKNOWN.

This function returns empty values if there was no modification done after initial publish or if the user that modified the post doesn’t exist any more.

If you know another function or place where to get the information of which author made a modification (“Seems the plugin is looking at only one of two places this information must be stored“) please let us know and we will look into it because we don’t know it.

    Best regards from Spain.
