  • Hello
    I just bought the plugin Latest Single Post (Order: # 185) thinking it would be more configurable.
    I would just align the excerpt and title to the right of thumbnail.
    But I try to edit “default_style” in core/css from the line 479 without success, with the attribute “float: left;” for the thumbnail.
    Could you help me just for that? Thank you

    Hi, of course I can help you. I’m preparing an update to make it easier to float thumbnails to the left side. It will soon be available, there is also a new feature included in the premium version.

    As soon as it is available I will send you an email to let you know.

    Best regards,
    José Luis

    It’s a good idea because I have found no equivalent plugin (except “U More Recent Posts” but it does not function “excerpt”) This updated in the premium version will feature a big advantage.
    It would also be great to include the date of posts…

    Thank you very much.

    The new version is available, the premium include display full post content using the display_content=true parameter. If you want to display the dates use full_meta=true.

    Now it’s easier to manipulate the CSS to float thumbnails to the left, here’s an example: Thumbnails floated to the left

    To apply a custom style just upload your CSS file to your active theme root folder (where the style.css file is found, this is to prevent it from deletion every time the plugin is updated) then use the css_style parameter, for example, to replicate what you see in the screenshot linked before I created a CSS file called slposts-thumbleft.css which I saved inside the root folder of my active theme, then I used this shortcode:

    [slposts title_only=false auto_excerpt=true thumbnail=true css_style=slposts-thumbleft]

    My slposts-thumbleft.css file contains the following rules:

    .slposts-wrapper ul,
    .slposts-wrapper li {
    	list-style: none;
    }
    .slposts-wrapper .slposts-ulist-litem {
    	clear: both;
    }
    .slposts-wrapper .thumbnail img {
    	float: left;
    	margin: 9px;
    	margin-top: 80px;
    }
    .slposts-wrapper .thumbnail .slposts-caption {
    	float: left;
    	max-width: 65%;
    }
    .slposts-wrapper .slposts-ulist-title {
    	margin-left: 2em;
    }

    I hope this points you in the right direction.

    Best regards,
    José Luis

    Thank you very much I will try this
    By purchasing the plugin I forgot to create an account on http://single-latest-posts.laelitenetwork.com ….
    Could you send me the new version at tahitilau@gmail.com?
    Thank you again for your professionalism.

    Hi
    Thank you for sending me the new version

    It’s better and it’s easier to manipulate the CSS to float to the left thumbnails. But the pagination is displayed wrong as you can see here: http://www.radio1.pf/images/slposts/1-slpost-bad-pagination-post.jpg

    I tried with this shortcode :

    [slposts sort_by_date=true sorting_order=oldest title_only=false auto_excerpt=true excerpt_length=24 paginate=true posts_per_page=4 thumbnail=true css_style=slposts-thumbleft]

    But I wanted to use slposts-thumbleft.css from the widget SINGLE LATEST POSTS, and in this case the paging works fine. But I can’t call the CSS file slposts-thumbleft.css. from the widget … As you can see here : http://www.radio1.pf/images/slposts/2-slpost-widget-float-problem.jpg

    The perfect widget could do this (photo montage): http://www.radio1.pf/images/slposts/3-slpost-widget-ideal.jpg

    Sorry for the difficulties.

    Hi, don’t worry I’m here to help. What you see is the expected result as the example I put wasn’t complete.

    Please download this stylesheet: Slposts-Thumbleft which is the full version, you just need to replace/adapt classes at the end of the file, between (keeping the rule to ignore floating):

    /*\
     * -----------------------------
     * | + Float Thumbnails Left + |
     * -----------------------------
    \*/

    /*\
     * -----------------------------
     * | - Float Thumbnails Left - |
     * -----------------------------
    \*/

    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    José Luis

    Ok
    Difficult with the plugin to get a correct display of items but it works well with the shortcode. I decided to use it for my website http://www.radio1.pf This is online

    I’ll just have to adjust:
    – The display line breaks I do not want so I have to put a “display: inline;” somewhere …
    -Internet Explorer has a display problem with “float thumbnail”.
    – And the pages are reloaded at each change of page, which is not the case in LOCAL.

    In any case, thank you for everything
