  • Resolved Spudzinabag

    I need to align a paragraph so that it is in line with the top of the featured image in this post:

    I know this has been covered before, but searching the issue is confusing me as there seems to be many ways to do this.

    All suggestions welcome.

  • You’ll need to bump it up by 17 pixels. There are a million ways of doing this, and I’m not sure which to reccomend.

    But that first paragraph should be wrapped in a div with the style: margin-top:-17px; added to it.

    So in your Home page post (not the PHP file but where the text is entered), click text, and add <div id=’para_fix’> at the start and </div> at the end.

    Then in your CSS stylesheet, add:

    margin-top: -17px;

    Now, this comes with a warning. It’s possible that when you wrap it in a div, another rule in your stylesheet will take over, and it’ll look even worse. So, we’ll need to adjust for that as well.

    Best of luck!

    You have a ‘blank’ paragraph above the first one displaying…switch to ‘text’ mode in the editor and remove it…

    Correction: your image is in this paragraph…Add image with correct left justification and then your text….

    Thanks All for your help!

    I resolved the issue by deleting and resinserting the image and not making any edits to it in text view.

    There are some plugins that can help you prevent that, but it’s not a very common problem. I’m glad it’s working, Happy Pressing!

    Thanks for the help again. While I didn’t use your and Seacoast solutions, your replies got me on the right path to fixing the issue
