Align images right/left suddenly not working after upgrading to WP 2.6 (11 posts)

    Hi...

    I always start every article with an image which are align left.

    I have never had any problem selecting an image within a post and just clicking align left from the align selection.

    But after upgrading to the latest version i can’t get any picture to align left or right at all..

    What can i do to fix that problem?

    Thanks

    Doesn't work for me either. I see it is creating a custom css string (class=...) but it is not defined anywhere.

    See this page - it offers a temp solution as it ads the missing style values (css).
    http://hackwordpress.com/wordpress-26-changes-how-wordpress-handles-images/

    By the way, I think there is an error in the last CSS statement. It should be

    img.aligncenter, div.aligncenter {
    text-align:center;
    margin:0 auto;
    }

    instead of

    img.aligncentered, div.aligncentered {
    text-align:center;
    margin:0 auto;
    }

    Also, if your theme supports custom.css I would put it there. This problem might be resolved in the next edition of WordPress.org

    Well, I expect, at least!

    It is not a "temporary" solution - it is the right solution :)
    If you add the 3 classes to any (theme) stylesheet, WP will do the rest.

    OK moshu, I am a bit puzzled by that as I went through the 2.5->2.6 upgrade carefully and never detected this correction.

    You are right about the code - it shuld be "aligncenter".

    As for the difference, I can't really tell because I always had/have these classes in my stylesheet, so I don't really remember when WP started to add the class(es) in this way (earlier I used to add the classes manually into the img code).

    Hi all,

    I've copied that bit of HTML into my theme style sheet but still every image is aligning left, instead of right.

    Is there anything else i could try?

    Yes - you could try giving people a link to your site. Every site is different, so there are very few "one size fits all" solutions.
