I originally posted the following in the Miscellaneous forum:

I just installed SEO Doctor, which is an SEO diagnostic tool that is an add-on for Firefox. When testing it on a page for one of my blog posts, it indicated I had 8 H1 tags and suggested that I should have only one. As I don’t know a whole lot about code, I must admit I’m a little confused. As far as I know, the only H1 tag I have in the page I tested, which is a blog post, is the title. Everything else is either H2 tags or regular text. The page I tested can be located here: thewilsmithexperience.com/network-marketing-recruiting-tips-tip-7-of-10/

I guess my question is, what constitutes the number of H1 tags? In my case, does each word in the title make up one H1 tag each, or do all the words in the title make up one H1 tag? Is this something that can be corrected on my WP Blog, or is the issue with the SEO Doctor add-on?

    I got the following answer:

text in your sidebar categories / recent posts /follow me on , is in H1,your post title and website title is also in H1, 6th element you have in h1 is `
    <h1 class=”screen-reader-text”>Post navigation</h1>`

also you seem to be using Alexandria Theme, search in their support forum and ask a question if cant find a solution.

My question is, is it possible to modify the Alexandria theme so that the only H1 tag that exists is for the title? If that can’t be done, what are my alternatives?
