Photo ALbums -> Settings admin page, Table I-D1: Max Coverwidth.

If your column on the page is 640, and you want 2 columns, set it to a value less than 640. If you even want two columns of covers on a page with a main column of 400 px, set it to a value less than 400. If you set it to 300, you will get 2 columns on a 400 wide page, and 3 column on a 600 wide page.

If you want this to work on a responsive theme, you will need to set Table I-A1 to auto and select a covertype that has the mcr ( Multi Column Responsive ) addition in its name. See Table IV-D6.

Read the help under the [?] on the settings line of Table I-D1 and IV-D6.

No matter how I choose settings, I cannot get the album covers to display in 2 columns. I must be doing something wrong, but can’t find it. My site is responsive, so I have 1-A1 set to auto. I have tried setting 1-D1 to 1024 and to 300 – it makes no difference. I’ve set IV-D6 to Standard MCR and Image MCR – to no effect. I am obviously doing something wrong, but I can’t find it. Please help.

My client was able to get it to work on her site – then she decided she didn’t want two columns! Instead I had to rebuild the CSS to line the photo and the caption in different positions. There is no doubt that learning to code has its benefits!
