Album shortcodes still broken in 2.0.17

The following shortcode

[album id=1 template=compact]

was changed to become

[ngg_images album_ids=”1″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_compact_album”]

However, neither one works after updating to Nextgen Gallery 2.0.17. The first shortcode worked before the Nextgen 2.0 release.

The symptoms I see is that the the album shortcode does display a list of galleries. However, clicking on any of those galleries gets a 404 page not found error. It behaves as if an incorrect permalink is generated.

For example on this page:
http://www.bike2013.com/photos/

clicking on “Egypt” creates a link named “http://www.bike2013.com/?post_type=page&p=885”.

Some of the examples on the NextGen gallery shortcode page also don’t work when typed verbatim because of similar symptom.

@mev – As far as I can see both of those shortcodes do produce the same results on my test sites.

Have you checked for conflicting plugins and/or possibly a conflict between NextGEN Gallery and your theme?

Is there any way to change the size of a thumbnail for an album?

I have looked at list of conflicting plugins and stopped W3 total cache. I also tried selective turning off, though tougher to turn everything off on a live site.

Also my permalinks are “Day and Name” instead of default, but toggling this didn’t seem to help.

Switching themes from my theme (Weaver II) to something else also doesn’t change the behavior.
