First, I just want to say I love your plugin! Thank you for providing such a great product – great options, easy to use, and nice to look at.

I’m having a really strange issue that appears to only happen when I have the album extension activated, however.

Attempting to use albums on this page to show different categories of the artist’s work.

This is what my first steps were:
    1. Activate album extension
    2. Create album
    3. Create page called “Gallery”
    4. Paste in album code below some simple text
    5. Preview page = shows correct content (including album!)
    6. Publish page = shows home page content

Once I publish the page, however, there is no way to view the correct content including the album (even when I select Preview changes in the page editor)

NOTE: I am not using a static home page (shows slider & recent posts)

    Troubleshooting thus far:
    1. Previewed using a different theme = /gallery/ page still shows home page content
    2. Deactivated Albums extension = still shows home page content
    3. Deactivated other plugins 1 by 1 to see when the correct content
    – correct content finally displayed when Yoast SEO was deactivated (minus album)
    – reactivated all other plugins = correct content still displayed (minus album)
    – reactivated Albums extension = displays home page content
    – deactivated Albums = displays home page content still
    – deactivated Yoast SEO again = displays home page content still
    – deactivated other plugins 1 by 1 until correct content displays (this time Updraft Plus was the last one deactivated?)
    – reactivated other plugins = correct content still displays (minus album)
    – reactivated Albums extension = back to home page content

So… I’m thinking it’s not a problem with incompatibility with a particular plugin… and I really have no idea where to go from here. For the time being I will simply not use the Albums extension, but I would really like to be able to use this feature! Any help is very much appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks for the detailed explanation – that sort of thing really helps!

I think it might have to do with your page slug being “gallery” and the fact that albums uses “gallery” in the url to show individual galleries.

One thing to try is to rename your page slug to something other than “gallery” or at least create a test page with the same content and URL and test that page

Haha well that was WAY easier than all the steps I took!

Changed the slug for the page to /image-gallery/ and now the album works. Thanks so much for your quick response!
