Ajax Page Loading on Login

I have tried adding in my own jquery function to post the login credentials and then reload the page content so the user will have all logged in content available to them from the current page.

I am having a couple of issues.

First I have content in the admin bar which changes when the user is logged in. I have managed to get this content to update as well however the links I am adding are not recognized by AAPL. Once I click on any links I am adding in to the admin bar the page reloads. Any pointers for this?

Also I am having some issues with some buddypress functions returning empty results. It as if the bp object is not being refreshed upon login. Do you have any pointers for this as well?

Please dont tell me you have already worked out these issues and I have spent a better part of a day working on this for little to no reason. Oh well if so at least the issue has been addressed and I just need to get on board.
