I’m new to Formidable, coming from CF7, and I’ve noticed that when a form is submitted it reloads the page to display success and error messages. With CF7 it displays them via AJAX so I’m wondering if this enhancement exists within Formidable as well? If so, how do I incorporate it?
Ajax submit is not currently built into the plugin, but it is planned for development. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Is this something my staff and I could fork via Git/SVN and contribute the solution too? We really love your plugin and would like to contribute if we can!
Yes, you can fork the code via Git/SVN to code this feature yourself. We can’t support forked versions of our plugin, so you would be on your own in that department.
Also, this might be helpful for your needs. There is a code sample that one of our users has posted to our helpdesk to get ajax submit working on simple forms. Here is a link: http://formidablepro.com/help-desk/submit-forms-via-ajax/#comment-46708
Would you accept Pull Requests if we write it as a patch? We don’t want to fork it for the purpose of competing or replacing what you have (which is totally awesome!).
Can you start a private thread in our helpdesk and reference this topic? Maybe we can work out a solution there. http://formidablepro.com/help-desk
