    I get this error when trying to save the table:
    Saving failed: AJAX call failed: error – . Try again while holding down the “Shift” key.

    So when i hold shift and click to save, it takes a while and then gives me this error page:

    Forbidden
    You don’t have permission to access this resource.

    Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Not sure what has gone wrong? I’ve had no issues using this plugin before, WP and the plugin have updated and now this? I’ve changed nothing, actually haven’t changed the table since mid/end February, when it saved fine.

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    The “403 Forbidden” indicates that this is related to the server configuration. Most likely, some security software or firewall on the server does not like something in the HTTP request that is sent from the browser to the server when clicking the Save button. To find out more about this, you’d have to check your server’s error log files, maybe together with your webhost. Then, the server configuration would have to be relaxed so that it no longer raises false positives.

    Hi,

    yes, these server things can be a bit technical. Unfortunately, there’s nothing that I can do about this from within TablePress 🙁
    I can only recommend to contact your hosting company’s support team and ask them to look into these server configuration issues.

    just an update. your plugin has really screwed with my site =(

    my site was fine, nothing changed apart from a wordpress update, so not sure why any issue would be at my end.

    i deactivated the plugins via cpanel, eventually got my site back. reactivated table press and my site is gone again. i’m not a happy bunny.

    I’m really sorry to hear that you are having such problems! Can you please clarify what “my site is gone again” means? What are you seeing when you activate TablePress?
    If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please get in touch via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!
