AIT Themes Search Custom Field

    Hello,
    I am using a AIT Theme. And theis searchform has a simplse search field “s”.
    Now I want to bea ble to search the custom field “_citadela_address” meta-key to search also for street names.
    I unchecked the “restrict search” but no results are shown.
    The index is created and the custom field is indexed.
    What Am I doing wrong?
    Any suggestion?

    Can you search for the street names in the Relevanssi admin search (Dashboard > Admin search)? If you can, Relevanssi is working fine and the problem is in your theme. If you can’t, then the problem is in Relevanssi settings. Which one is it?

    when I use the admin search I get the exact results.
    So, the theme seems not to use the standard search?

    If you search for RING it shows no results.

    Your search returns the expacted result.

    Is it maybe cause it is a custom post type?

    Any idea I could fix that?

    I can’t access the site, so I can’t tell.

    Is this a regular search page, or some kind of AJAX dropdown search? Any page builders in use? Any plugins that could affect the search? Does the search work if you try live previewing one of the default themes?

    If you also enter „Rock“ (title) it shows 2results on the map but no list of these.

    Ah, that map search is likely something custom enough that it’ll drop Relevanssi straight off. Is this anywhere near what you’re expecting? https://hey-koelle.de/?post_type=citadela-item&s=ring

    Anyway, I think you may be out of luck here, making this theme work with Relevanssi will probably require quite a bit of work.

    Hello Mikko,

    yes, Walhalla is the result for RING.

    Maybe I ask the author to add meta-key search.

    If there will be no simple Solution.

    One approach might be using Relevanssi Light. Because it works purely on the database level, it will integrate with your theme without problems, and while the feature set is very limited compared to Relevanssi, it can do custom field searching.
