Support » Fixing WordPress » Ahimsa theme – how can I add image to the header?

  • I downloaded Ahimsa theme and changed all the colours, however I noticed there isn’t a header.jpg available in style.css or images folder. I want to add an image to the header, do you know how to fix this??

    Below are the details from style.css

    #header
    {
    background-color: #384168;
    color: #ffffff;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 20px;
    text-align: left;
    border-radius-topleft: 30px;
    border-radius-topright: 30px;
    -webkit-border-top-right-radius: 30px;
    -webkit-border-top-left-radius: 30px;
    -moz-border-radius-topleft: 30px;
    -moz-border-radius-topright: 30px;
    }

    #header table

    width: 100%;
    }

    #header #title
    {
    height: 20px;
    font-size: 24pt;
    font-family: “Trebuchet MS”, “Gill Sans”, Skia, “Century Gothic”;
    padding-right: 15px;
    padding-left: 10px;
    border-right: 2px solid #ffdd00;
    }

    #header #description

    width: 100%;
    }

    #header a

    color: #ffffff;
    }

    #header #search
    {
    vertical-align: middle;
    text-align: right;
    padding-right: 20px;
    }

    #searchform INPUT

    background-image: URL(‘images/search.gif’);

    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    border: 0px solid #c6e1cc;
    margin: 0px;
    margin-top: 5px;
    background-color: #000000;

    To add an image to the header you have to first upload the image to your site, remember the URL, and then use that URL to either edit header.php and add an IMG tag pointing to it, or edit style.css and add it as a background to the header. Contact me (see my info in my profile) for more info.

    See my blog post regarding this question, at:
    http://ahren.org/code/bit/how-to-add-an-image-in-the-ahimsa-theme-header

    1. Add image that want you choose
    2. Login your wordpress
    3. Appearance -> Editor -> header.php
    4. You’ll find like this below:
    <img src=”http://i28.tinypic.com/a9ocvl.png” border=”0″ alt=”master-tickets”>
    5. Edit as you need
    <http://www.master-tickets.net/ticketbox/“><img src=”http://i28.tinypic.com/a9ocvl.png” border=”0″ alt=”master-tickets”>
