[Moderator Note: Topic title modified. When you start a new topic, use a good topic title. Whilst "Agony" might be a good title for a book, it's a lousy title for a support forum topic.]

Am I the only person on earth who is suffering the agony of waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waitng and waiting while WordPress loads another page.

    I'm developing a site so I really can't use a cache tool.

Am I missing something? Or do I just have a low tolerance for boredom and wasting time?

Thanks for that very detailed response. I will check out all these leads. And you're right to rename my post.

I did not rename your post. The moderator did that.

Just out of curiosity, if you're developing a site and making various editing changes, do you normally have delays of 10-15 seconds while the page loads? I understand a caching program would speed things up but when you're under development you don't want a cache right?

Other websites I'm developing aren't anywhere near that slow, but I'm not using WordPress on them.

I should say that all my sites are developed directly on the server, not with MAMP or something on my own computer.

Slow loading times are driving me nuts. Every change I made takes 10-15 seconds to view-- I'm wasting hours ever day.
