• As soon as the plugin is installed, a nag warning box persists in the wp-admin area prompting the user to download another plugin for version release updates.

Funny, I thought WordPress already had that covered.

After a little research, it turns out that installing the second plugin won’t put an end to nag warning messages i.e. an alert persists pushing the user into getting an API key. Furthermore, the second “required” plugin reportedly results in what’s been described as dashboard spamming.

I’ve uninstalled the plugin due to this aggressive and essentially annoying style of marketing.

I’m happy to opt for an inferior pop-up plugin that doesn’t intrusively pressurize me into becoming a premium consumer.
