AgentPress Listings Search Widget

  • Hi,

I think Agent Press Listings is a fabulous plugin. However, I wonder whether the search widget could be adapted so that it filters information. For example I am trying to use it as a holiday lettings agency encompassing worldwide locations. I have set up taxonomies for country, regions and towns and they appear in the search widget. Unfortunately each taxonomy is treated as a discrete variable so that regions are not seen as connected to countries and towns are not connected to regions. So if France is selected in ‘country’ it would be more helpful if the regions then are filtered to show only French regions instead of all the worldwide regions. Is it possible to create child taxonomies or sub taxonomies so that taxonomies can be linked in some way.

Because of the problem I am currently using both posts and listings to display properties and have different search widgets for each. If you go to http://www.1stchoiceholidayrentals.co.uk/?page_id=2 you will see both search features I am using. The AgentPress Listings Search Widget is in the sidebar.

    Any help appreciated
