Hello ww_hoax,
Thank you for your detailed description, but unfortunately I can’t reproduce the problem on my site.
I can suggest you deactivate all your other plugins, one at a time, and revert to the default BP theme, to identify a possible conflict.
As a last resort, I could try and debug the issue on your test site. Please let me know!
Dear Andrea, I have made a complete fresh installation on my localhost only with buddypress, Buddypress Xprofile Custom Fields Type, and Options Optimizer. I have created three users with different ages.
Theme: Twenty Thirteen
I tried version 3.6.1 – all users displayed as search result.
I tried version 3.5.5 – everything worked fine.
I’m a little bit confused
Sorry, I was misled by your first post, where I understood that 3.5.6 didn’t work while 3.5.5 did.
I’ve now realized that BP Profile Search 3.6.x doesn’t work anymore with the Birthdate field of Buddypress Xprofile Custom Fields Type, and I’m working to restore the compatibility.
I hope to release the bugfix in one week. Thanks for your report!
Many thanks Andrea! Have a nice weekend.
Hi Andrea. Has this fix been resolved yet? I am running 3.6.4 and on the search page for Age (using custom xprofile fields) it only displays “Your HTML code for the birthdate field type goes here”
FYI – the creator of the xprofile search plugin has recently fixed an issue with the duplicate display of custom fields which was patched into buddypress release 2.01. This may be another hurdle for you to work around.
Hope to hear soon, as I desperately need this plugin!
all the best Craig
Hi Craig,
The fix on BP Profile Search has been released already, and I think the related fix on Buddypress Xprofile Custom Fields Type will be released very soon.
If you are in a hurry, you can fix Buddypress Xprofile Custom Fields Type yourself, as explained in my page
http://dontdream.it/bp-profile-search/custom-profile-field-types/
You don’t have to read the whole page, you can jump right to the Conclusions, and copy/paste the given code.
