    Adds a ridiculous yellow icon in the sidebar pointing to their PRO version in direct violation of WP guidelines.

    I thought the plan was to clean stuff like this up….

    Hi,
    Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your constructive feedback.
    The icon actually goes away when you click on it once.
    Other than this, we don’t really have any invasive promotion notices or anything.
    Also, please enlighten us on which guideline is being violated here. I would love to make sure we don’t do it with any of our plugins in the future.

    ***MY*** admin is not the place for your advertising. Not even an icon that goes away. It guarantees that I’ll never buy your “pro” version.

    I know I’m not the only one that feels this way but if you want to tick off a TON of potential customers – have at it.

    To be clear, it is fine that you don’t like that and are leaving a review. Totally fine.

    It’s also totally fine that developers do that if the alert/message/thingy can be dismissed.

    As long as the alert/message/thingy can be dismissed, it is completely not against any terms here.

    That’s allowed here and anyone reading this review will understand that you are not reviewing this plugin. You are protesting an accepted practice in this community.
