After WP MAMP config are static non-WP subdomains possible?

I successfully got WP+MAMP running with this tutorial:

Hurray!

But I’d still like to use this MAMP installation for static non-WP sites.

I have added a new subdomain (nonwp.localdev.com) to my /private/etc/hosts file, but I don’t know where/how in MAMP/htdocs to add the non-WP site files.
