    Hi WordPress Masters,

I don’t know if what’s going on my site.
You could not view images after uploading. You can only view the actual image when you click edit. Then the picture shows up.

I have already looked at the permissions and it is set to 755 which would be no problem on uploading.

    Thanks

  • You can try disabling all your plugins and check if the problem is still there… if so, change your theme to wordpress 2014 and check again.

    Hi Janet,

Yup, did that too. Disabled all plugins and switched to other themes.
Still does not work. I think I might need a fresh wordpress install.

Can you post a link to your site?

    still a work in progress
    😀

Are you unable to insert images into your pages now?

Can you describe specifically what is happening in your admin?

And please disable all plugins and switch to 2014 theme, refresh your browser and test placing images again.

    Nope.
When you go to Media Library and upload the images from your local drive, images does not appear after uploading. Just broken image links.
But when you go to “Edit” link. You can see that the image is there.

the images you do have showing seem to be in your theme folder.

Can you check via ftp and see if there is anything in your media library?

This has been resolved already. The problem was about the htaccess having a weird extension. It was having .htaccess.ui.

    Solved by:
    1. Removing the .ui.
    2. Setting up a custom permalink structure
    3. Re-upload a photo.
