Support » Plugin: Events Made Easy » After upgrading to WP 5.1 EME was deactivated/ dead

  • Resolved analogguy

I had the issue that EME plugin was dead after upgrading to WordPress 5.1 from 5.0.3. EME wasn’t listed on in the plugin list, only EME front end summit. I first thought about PHP/ MYSQL version problems. Reinstall failed: “Directory still exist” or so. In the end I renamed the plugin folder via FTP Client and reinstalled EME with no problems. All is up and running again.
I only did that post if someone encounters the same problem. It’s a dirty workaround and I’ve no idea what’s the root cause.

I’m guessing you had the issue where another plugin puts itself in the same “place” in the menu as EME (while those spaces are dynamically calculated if done correctly). Mostly older plugins caused such a problem.
