After upgrading to version 2.2 cannot edit or add pages in admin

This is a strange problem. When attempting to edit or add a page in the admin section (and when clicking edit from the front end) a blank page is returned.

I have tried eliminating plugins one-by-one and none are causing the issue, this issue still exists without plugins.I have also tried re-uploading the php components of the upgrade for the pages. Also not related to the theme, I have run the same diagnostic procedure with the themes. The pages show up fine on the front end. I can edit and add pages directly in the database table and the changes and pages show up fine in the front end.

Any ideas that may help so I can manage the pages in the admin section?
