    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

Thank you, I can at least access the admin again…

    Hi,

I’ve followed what you suggested esmi, but it still shows the same error line!

    What else could I do?

Sorry, my wp-config file was missing!

    thanks anyway

I just had this. Check the route of your site for 0 byte WP files and copy these over from a download of the full WP zip. I also had to upload the entire wp-includes folder and it worked.

Never had an update fail before…

I downloaded the wordpress file, made a copy of the wp-config sample.php file and renamed the copy file. However i was not able to open

i keeps giving me a message that i may not have the appropriate permission
