After upgrade Posts aren't listed, I only see the shortcode

    In version 0.63 we renamed the plugin’s main file and we haven’t found out a way to tell WordPress we did this. So the plugin becomes deactivated and that’s why you just see the shortcode instead of the posts.

    Sorry for the inconvenience, this shouldn’t affect new installations, just versions previous to 0.63 updating to a later version.

    Hi fernandobt,
    Sometimes, after a plugin is updated, it gets gets deactivated from the plugins page. Please visit the plugins page and activate the plugin.

    So is there a fix? My site has this issue but the plugin didn’t become deactivated, but as with several people on the support forum we have shortcodes visible only. What should I and these people do?

    Same issue here. Strange thing is that identical shortcode works on some pages and not on other pages.
    I hope this issue is addressed soon as probably a lot of people are suffering from this.
    Just google “[catlist id=” and see how many sites show up showing only shortcodes on page.

    Still seeing shortcode, deleted the plugin, reinstalled, not sure what else to try

    Does not look to be compatible with the newer WP versions.

    Reactivating the plugin constantly is frustrating to users. 😉

    Here’s what worked for us…

    • Make a note of pages and their shortcodes.
    • Create a backup of your current database.
    • Deactivate the plugin.
    • Delete the plugin.
    • Install a fresh “new” copy of the latest version of the plugin.
    • Activate the new plugin.

    Well its working now, but the numberposts paramater isnt. 🙁 Scratching my head now.
