Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » After updating display, sort dates default to today

  • I updated the display today as ref’d in this article https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/enabling-updated-calendar-views/, and you can see on the url I posted, default list view, that current items are all listed as Tue 20 in the leftmost column for 6 events, (list view) even though dates for the actual events are September 13, 2019 @ 8:00 am – May 3, 2021 @ 5:00 pm, August 18, 2020 – August 18, 2022, etc., These were sorted by year by start date in the older calendar default, and the only thing I can see that Tue 20 could refer to is today’s date, and I do indeed see that they are all listed under April 2021, which doesn’t refer to date posted, it’s just the date I updated to updated calendar views. There are so many things I like about this updated display view, but this is confusing, and it stands out much more than the actual dates of events. If I click on the previous arrow, the dates in that column does actually correspond to the start date, and the years are sorted properly horizontally.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there!

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Couple things:

Please make sure The Events Calendar is updated, you should be on version 5.5.0.1

Also please make sure WordPress is up to date, you should be on 5.7.1

One last thing, please navigate to Settings > Permalinks and make sure you have Post name selected. Our plugins work best under that setting.

@zignorp would you mind telling us what theme you are using please?

We are trying to narrow down the cause of this type of issue šŸ™‚
