After update all the stats are gone?

Hi everybody,
Today there was an announcement for an update of this plugin.
I did the update and now all the stats from the previous year are gone.
it starts at 0 again.

Yes, the new table is made in plugin.Yes I saw that.
Then you have to disable and enable the plugin to get it to work again.
But then you loose all your stats and start at 0 again.
But I dont want that and nobody else wants that I think.
Why is it like that?
I put back a former database and uploaded the former plugin folder, so that I have my normal stats back. But if this doesnt change I wont be updating again.Old version had problems.
Now all the problems are solved and the information does not disappear.
To add the database to the previous figures.Mostafa, the stats did disappear!
I got the new table message. After that I disabled the plugin and enabled it again. Then the stats are gone.
Maybe you could try it out on several installations, because I have no idea what to do.
And it is a good idea to describe step by step what we should do.
Normally it is like this:
-Backup your database.
-Install the update throught the WordPress admin.
For most plugins that is enough.
Sometimes you have to disable and enable the plugin to get it to work properly.
But with this plugin you then get the new interface, but with the stats to 0!hi,
please deactive plugin.
goto phpmyadmin and delete the tables plugin.
goto wordpress and enable plugin. 🙂So what you are saying is, that I should update the plugin and then go to phpmyadmin and delete the tables?
And then go back to WordPress and enable the plugin?
But why should I do this?
This is not a normal update procedure.
Cant you make the update available in a normal way?yeah!
for create a new table 🙂So by going back to wordpress and enabling the plugin again a new table will be created?
But how about the previous stats?
Are they still there then?yeah!
Previous data is deleted!Ok. Maybe I will try it out tomorrow and will let you know if it worked.
But this update is way too difficult.Well I’m not happy.

I lost all my data and this f**** error still coming up.Sorry to hear that. But you are right. This update isnt any good.
Dont you have a backup?No I didn’t because I really thougt this was an update. Not a new wersion that would stripe out all my logs and data.
This WAS a good plugin but now it works only at part. Not geting the logo and info on the topbar like in the old version where I could put the mouse over and see the data. If I activate IP count I get this #$””#%”#$!”#% error I coded in before.
I just hate when you have a good, working thing and just because something the builder don’t like, then totaly ruin the whole plugin with half-build version, call it update and it clear out all data of the page and does not work as it should be.
GRRRRRRRRRR!Yes I know what you are saying.
Lets hope Mostafa, the builder, will fix this, so that we can update in a normal way without loosing all of our data.
