    Thanks for posting. The plugin utilizes MailChimp’s double opt-in process, which means that before an email address is added to the list, the subscriber themselves will need to click on the opt-in confirmation link that’s present in the confirmation email in order to be added to the list.

    Can you elaborate a bit on your concerns of knowing if it went through? Are you specifically concerned about the email going through, or the subscriber being added to your MailChimp list successfully?

    For the “thank you for your subscription” message, that’s something that would be set in your MailChimp account, using your list’s form builder.     I believe what the OP meant (And I’m particularly concerned with this), is that when a user inputs their e-mail and clicks “Subscribe” nothing happens. Which when I was testing, made me think it was not working until I noticed later that there was a notice in my e-mail account. I believe it would be helpful if after clicking submit, it would say something like “A confirmation e-mail has been sent.” Or something along those lines.

    There’s no way to assure the user that they’ve accomplished or initiated the process to begin receiving our newsletter.

    Thanks for posting. The plugin form should display an on-page success message shortly after clicking the subscribe button. If it’s not displaying, it’s possible that there may be a conflict with something else on that page. Would you be able to check once more after clicking the subcribe button that you’re not seeing any success message? Also, would you be able to try disabling other plugins on the site to see if that results in the message beginning to show?

    Alternatively, you have the option of using one of the non-JS embed code forms that are provided in your MailChimp account. Doing so will result in the users clicking the subscriber button on your site’s form and being directed to a new tab/page with a success/confirmation message.
