Support » Plugin: Redirection » After migrating a website to a new host all the url redirects have gone

  • Resolved Bevan78

Is there a way to download the url lists and import them into the migrated site? Or a better way to do this.

I could go into the databases of the old hosted site if needed but this is a little over my head so any support would be great!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Have you tried the import/export function in the top menu of the plugin?

    Thanks for your reply sm7uge.

I can no longer export though as the site has migrated over, I could import if I knew what file I needed to create and how. The option is to import an existing .htaccess file, or a CSV file. I’ve logged into the old hosting company cPanel and clicked into phpMyAdmin and believe the information is under wp_redirection_logs but I’m not sure.

Here I can export a CSV file but do I need to do it in a certain way?

I’ve created a ‘Quick – display only minimal options’ but will this be correct? I don’t want to break the site.

Seems that this isn’t the right database as there should be over 500 redirections and this only holds 75. Any support as to where I’d find this would be great.

If you have access to Redirection on the old site then the easiest way is to use Redirection to export everything.

If all you have is the database then you could copy across the old tables. They all start with wp_redirection_

To copy tables you can use phpMyAdmin to export a table to SQL on the old site, and then use it to import the SQL file on the new site.

Just to give you an update and thank you for your reply.

For some reason the information was not there so I had to do this all manually.

    Thanks anyway.
