That could be because your webhost does not recognise ‘index.php’ as being a valid file, so when it does not find ‘index.html’ it throws an error.
Ask your host that ?
okie… thanx for the help…
still the same problem… im using my localhost as my web host server, and i still get the same problem with the Directory Listing Denied…
so, what should i do with this problem… do i need to create a directory folder and make html file? hope someone assist me with this problem. thanx…
Do you mean that you are running wp on your local machine? Is it apache/linux or a windows/IIS server?
Assuming apache/linux (or the XAMPP sort of windows version), you’ll need to edit your httpd.conf file to add index.php as recognized. If it’s already set that way, then other than to refer you to the apache docs at http://apache.org/, I don’t know….
thanx for the reply…
actually yes im running wordpress under windowsXP IIS server…
what should be my first move?
anyway, is there any possible cause/reason/way of problem if im using local server?
Problem may likely lie in your configuration. BUT –
I can’t help you at all with IIS, sorry. Others here probably can, but they may not be around at the moment….
okay… 🙁
anyway, thanx for your time…
if you have comments or suggetions,im open to hear it.
thanx again.
