  • Hi @isabelleroger,

    Thank you for contacting us.

I can confirm that was due to you did ‘Update Theme Header‘ once the theme updated to 1.81.

For your information: we have added new header layout options to Sydney starting from version 1.81. New users will automatically have this enabled if their first version is 1.81. Enabling new header layout is optional for existing users — they can enable it from the Update Theme Header button that appears on top area of dashboard.

You can disable this new header layout (if the old one looks better as per your design/branding requirements) by visiting this link: yoursite[DOT]com/wp-admin/options.php, then find the sydney-update-header line using your web browser’s finder menu (CTRL+F). Change the value to 0 and update. Here is your visual guide for this.

    Hope this reply helps.

    Regards,
    Kharis

Hi Kharis, will this affect the functions of the site in the future if we don’t “update” the header – layout?

    Ok, thanks.

But is this mean that you will not have an option for transparent header anymore in the future?

    Hi,

We’re going to add an option to toggle the transparent header on a page by page basis.

I can confirm that it won’t affect other existing settings on your site. Because header update is optional.

    Hi @kharisblank
but how will it be handled in the future? Like in one year etc?
Is this now the future-Look to which we all have to adjust our pages?
And also how can future pages, that want to use a look like previously use that look?

It would be magnificent if there were some options to set it exactly like it was before.

    Best regards!

@thalakus the transparent header stays the same if you’re using the old header. For people using the new header, we’ll be introducing an option to get the transparent header on a page-by-page basis.
