  • (Added after writing the text bellow: I finally discovered what was wrong and it was a 3rd party plugin for calculating shipping. I changed the rating like I said. I still think you could had easily avoid most of this if you really cared about your users by simply testing the first update you did which was a disgrace to every single site and it had nothing to do with 3rd party plugins or themes. Anyway, I wish you the best because this really is a great plugin)

    Just because this is a free plugin it doesn’t mean you have the right to trash everyone’s sites like this! This was a completely irresponsible move of you guys! I’m sure you knew this update was going to do this, and if you didn’t then you just didn’t care enough for all these “ungrateful fools” since all you had to do was test it in a single site to see it doesn’t work as it should.

    Fix this and I’ll change my rate.

    Hi David,

    I’m assuming you are referring to 2.1, and I’m also assuming you’ve had issues with compatibility of 3rd party themes and plugins. So:

    1/ Read and
    2/ Understand we had 2.1 in beta for over 3 months which is plenty of time for 3rd party authors to update their plugins and themes
    3/ Understand we updated all of our own extensions and themes prior to launch (over 150!)
    4/ In future, test major updates in a staging environment. If you rely on your site for income, crossing your fingers and running major updates without testing is irresponsible in itself.

    Well, the problem is you assume too much Mike.

    My theme was updated just a few days ago (Bazaar), I don’t have any issues with 3rd party plugins and I don’t rely on my site for income but that does not mean I don’t care. The only thing you got right was that I was referring to 2.1 which is not that hard to guess…

    I have read many of your respnses and you treat potential customers like they will never be customers. Like all of your customers came from some dimension where they are already your customers…you show no respect for people and don’t really make an effort to be kind and understand what they tell you.

    Look, you may know something about creating plugins and stuff like that but you know absolutely NOTHING about dealing with people and complaints. Just let someone else do this for you and focus on what you are good at.

    I have to assume when you give no details on the issue. You didn’t mention your problem in your initial post. Just ranted.


    Like you normally say…this is not the place to discuss the problem, right? Just give opinion on the plugin. To try to resolve the problem I have created a ticket and I got an e-mail saying only paying members can get help…which kidda makes sense now…you launch an horrible update that you KNOW will get many people desperate for help then you say you can save them if they become paying members…makes sense.
