    Hello @zai3991

I’m really sorry to hear that!

Were you able to regain access to server and disable/remove plugin? I consider this is a priority but if there’s no access to cPanel or FTP you might need to ask you host for help: to remove the plugin physically from server (it will not remove any images) and re-start server. I’m really very sorry that this happened.

As for why it happened and how to avoid it, could you tell me please:

    – did it went down right after installing the plugin or during/after running “bulk smush” or “directory smush” option?

    – are you using any other plugins for image optimization at the same time?

    – or any solution to “offload” images (so they are stored e.g. on Dropbox, S3 or some other external location)?

    – how many (about) images is there on site and how big (in terms of file sizes) are they on average?

Let us know please as it can help us understand what actually happened there so we could prevent it form happening again.

    Kind regards,
    Adam
