After upgrading the Enigma theme from version 4.1 to the latest version 7.52 the homepage was wrecked. After working on it for many hours (working on one area at a time), I finally was able been able to rebuild the slider, but now the Portfolio section is only showing the section title and none of the four portfolio items I set up. All fields are filled in for each portfolio item, including a portfolio name, an image, the URL to the image, and the link to go to when clicked.

Can anyone help me get this area restored?

    Thank you!

    UPDATE 10/28/2022:
So I keep trying to check things to see if I can find anything wrong and the portfolio section of the “customize” area of the theme is not keeping the portfolio items I set up. Every time I go back in there the four items I set up are all gone. I even redid them two separate times today. Now I just went back in there again to check and they are gone again.

What is going on with this theme?

Here is the section before the theme update:

So, after trying another version of this theme in which the portfolio section works as expected, I came back to this latest version and in the “customize” area I tried loading the portfolio items one at a time to see if they show in the “view live” window. They worked fine for the first three but the forth one would make them all disappear. I noticed the ampersand in the title of this one and when I replaced it with “and” they all worked fine again. Then I tested replacing the “and” with HTML code “& amp;” and it worked as expected and the portfolio section is now showing on the site!

Hopefully this helps someone in the future who runs into a similar issue with the Enigma theme…
