After editing a post, updating, go to view and it's not found?

Not sure how this happened, but I have a category with a subcategory. I made a post for the parent category (because before it displayed nothing), and when I click on the nav for the category, i see an excerpt of the post. When I hover over”continue reading” I see the correct permalink. When I click, I get “Not Found
Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.”
I also cannot access the post via the short link.
What happened? Corrupt database? Can I fix this?
I tried deleting the post and creating a new one to no avail.
