• Hello, I recently ran the backup manually in my site and downloaded the compressed files without a problem. I ran into an issue when trying to expand the file on my computer locally. The .tar file gives and error message, stating: “Unable to expand (file name) into BACKUPS (folder title).”

I tried different compressions (TAR.GZ) and received the same error.

I successfully downloaded previous files (albeit 10 days ago) and am able to expand that file but this is the latest copy and I can’t open it to verify if the backup successfully completed its job.

Can somebody give guidance? Trying to backup before I upgrade WP to latest version but don’t want to risk losing recent changes on my site.

    Thanks!

Hi Did you get this resolved?
I’m experiencing the same issue. When I download the file, it states it’s only 1kb once downloaded (damaged). A normal size is stated on the sever.

With Version did you use? If there other warnings or errors in the log?
