After cloning website to subdomain and making some changes: unable to log in

    Hello.

    I just cloned my website http://www.de-sleutelbloem.nl to test.de-sleutelbloem.nl for testing purposes.
    After that, I was able to login to test.de-sleutelbloem.nl/wp-admin.
    After copying a theme to test.de-sleutelbloem.nl/wp-content/themes, I logged in and activated the new theme and made some changes to the menu.
    After saving the changed menu, I logged out.
    After this, I got a list of error messages. And trying to login again the following message occures:

    Does anyone have any idea about which action causes this error. And how to solve it?

    Usually when I see pluggable.php and functions.php errors lumped together, the culprit is usually a blank space at the end of the functions.php.

    Easy to check for, navigate to /wp-content/themes/twothousandeighteen/functions.php in your directory and open the file.

    scroll to the bottom of the file, there should be no space after the ?> tag. If there is, delete the space(s).

    Hi moonsloth, thanks for you reply.
    However, after removing the newline after the closing ?> tag, the problem still occurs.
    I also removed spaces from empty lines. No result.
    Are empty lines allowed?

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
    If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    Some more information:
    Only this steps (cloning the website, upload theme with FileZilla, activating the just uploaded theme) is enough to get the errors.
    There’s no empty space at the end of the lines in functions.php

    @rajan: I’m not able to login, so I’m not able to install plugins

    Please help me!

    I’ve taken a kind of default template and adapted that.
