Support » Fixing WordPress » After migrating a wordpress installation to a new DNS, my wp-admin is blank

  • As stated in the title, I’ve finished the development on a new website for my work, and after having uploaded a clean install of wordpress / uploading my wp-content and importing the DB I’m unable to see anything on the wp-admin end, ( receiving a totally blank screen, with nothing on the source either ).

I’ve narrowed the problem down to my theme / a plugin I’m using, if I disable those the admin area works as expected.

The major issue at play here is, while I was trying to figure out the issue on the new domain ( ), I accidentally recreated the issue on the dev site( ). So now I have two broken versions of the site, where I have to deactivate a plugin and the active theme to access the back end.

Can anybody give me a hand in further identifying the issue, and helping me get back my admin options ?

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

Thanks for the reply, I have indeed tried this already, in fact I’m doing it right now. I’ve narrowed down the theme-specific problem, to the options.php file, and have replaced it with a new and clean installs options.php file, and that seems to be working, so I’m going to try doing the same with whatever files are affected in the other conflicting plugin.
