Support » Alpha/Beta/RC » After an update, badly looking admin area

  • When a core update finishes, the admin area is severely distorted (menues, admin bar, text overlayed by other text). Some scripting or html error active here, I guess.

  • Could be a corrupt update. Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress 3.3-beta3-19254.

As a reference, I just updated my dev to 19254, the admin area is all clean and functional

    Probably nothing.

Happenened on three sites. It was only on the update result wp-admin/update-core.php?action=do-core-upgrade, not in general. I use Beta Tester plugin (nightlies) on these test sites.

The latest update on one of them (same build) went fine. Case closed.
